SETTLING IN
All children are unique and the amount of time that a child takes to settle into our nursery school can vary enormously. Therefore, children will be given time to settle in at their own pace, so as to make them feel welcome, safe, secure and confident in a new environment.
We strongly advise you to visit us with your child prior to the new term. During this visit, any problems may be discussed confidentially between yourselves and the Principal.
All children will be greeted in a warm and friendly manner at the entrance door.
YOUR CHILDS PROGRESS
As soon as your child starts nursery, he/she will be allocated a key worker to help settle your child into school life. This system ensures that we will provide for your child's individual needs.
A keyworker is a member of staff who monitors your child's progress whilst at school. There are various record sheets which need to be completed during your child's time with us and individual written reports will be created from these. You are welcome to discuss your child's progress with the manager at any time.

When your child is ready, we introduce more formal work such as letter and name recognition, simple mathematical games, computer skills and more detailed mark making.

Please note: if you wish your child to begin to write at home remember to only use lower case letters.
Our daily timetables are on display on the notice board. We have a varied session including free flow play, physical and imaginative as well as structured.

All our activities and equipment have been carefully chosen to ensure that your child benefits from a wide range of activities and experiences.
